    History

    District Court, Bageshwar was established on February 29, 2000. It is a hilly district, located on the confluence of Saryu and Gomti rivers. Bageshwar was made a separate Tehsil in 1974, and in 1976 it was declared a pargana, after which, in September 1997, Bageshwar was made the new district of Uttar Pradesh.

    At present 5 Courts and one out-lying Court are functioning in Judgeship Bageshwar.

      Judgeship Bageshwar is situated near about 4 Km far from the city at village-Bhurchuniyadhar. Residential accommodations i.e. Type V, IV, III and Type II of officers/ officials are also available near the Court building. Separate Bar Bhawan and canteen facility is also available near the Court building.
